DATES : Sunday, August 5th, 2018
Still inhabiting the small Goupillières valley, the “goupil” (the archaic French word for “fox”) will leave its forest den to attend the celebration. This celebration on Sunday, August 5, 2018, lasting from 10h to 19h, will be a nod to the famous fox who gave its name to Goupillières. “Goupil”, and others of its genus, are known to be cunning, funny and joyful.
It seems that Amelie and the fox are might be working together! Who knows which of them organized the festival with animations, songs, free games to entertain visitors, parents, grandparents and children alike? How many children will leave the Goupillières with the small fox mask they have made, feeling just as shrewd, funny and joyful as the fox in its own Goupillières valley?
The restaurant « Le Troglodyte Gourmand » will be serving fouées (from 12-2pm) and sweet and savoury snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice cream all day long.
On this day of festivities around the theme of the fox, there will be no guided visits of the troglodyte caves. The site will of course remain open to the public but visits will be self-guided. For guided visits in general see 'Planning your visit'.
