Prices are reduced for all types of disability to 5euro per person. Those accompanying disabled persons can avail of the same rate.
A guided tour can be reserved for groups of persons with intellectual disabilities. Also possible for those with visual impairment on reservation. For groups (8 persons or more) the person accompanying them will go free.
VISUAL AND HEARING IMPAIRMENT. INTELLECTUAL DISABLITYThe site has obtained the label 'TOURISM & HANDICAP'. A handbook has been produced containing in written form all the elements of discourse of a guided visit. This is available at reception on request for anyone with hearing impairment or intellectual disabilities. There are audio tapes on the two farms and these have been transcribed into the handbook. A separate handbook with extra-large typeface with all information relating to the site is also available at reception for those with visual impairments.
PHYSICAL DISABILITYOnly wheelchair users who are accompanied can access the site because of its nature and the fact that the terrain is not flat. There are certain slopes which cannot be easily accessed. You will find disabled parking spaces 300 metres from the site (there is also a set down area at the gate 150metres away for those who may have difficulty reaching the entrance). Cars may only stop in this reserved space. Four spaces for disabled visitors are available in the car park. There is a reception area and ticket office which is wheelchair -friendly and disabled toilets which conform to national access regulations. 50% of the site is accessible to wheelchair users on paths where the slopes have reduced. By following signs for wheelchair use, steps can be avoided and the troglodyte farms can be visited. However, the underground shelter is not accessible because it would be too dangerous with a wheelchair. The height is 1.4 metres and the area is very dark and visited using an electric torch. There is a slight slope to access the 'Troglodyte Gourmand' restaurant, where spaces are reserved for wheelchair users.
